Job Title: Solaris Admin

Location: NY

Duration: 6-9 months

 

Job Description: Minimum seven years experience working with Solaris 8 & 10

• Understanding of security best practices on Solaris

• Advanced scripting abilities with Shell and Perl

• Understanding of backup process (e.g. Netbackup), system monitoring, performance tuning, disaster recoveryGood knowledge of Symantec VCS clusters

• Good knowledge of Symantec Veritas Volume Manager

• Knowledge of LDAP

• Experience with ZFS

• Knowledge of Open SSH

• Knowledge of T series platforms

• Experience with Solaris Virtualization (Zones, Containers, Ldoms)

• Experience with EMC storage platforms (Symmetrix, Clariion) and NAS (Celerra)

• Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment, effective written and verbal communication skills, ability to develop strong client relationships, ability to work under pressure
