We have a need for aa software configuration management (SCM) & Build System Engineer resource in Charlotte, NC for a Contract opportunity. 

 

Title:                      SCM & Build System Engineer

Location:               Charlotte, NC

Duration:              6+ Months

SCM & Build System Engineer will need to meet the following qualifications:

• Have solid knowledge of the SCM Fundamentals
• Versioning and source control
• Branching methodologies
• SCM maintenance strategies
• Extensive experience working in parallel-development environments Build and Release Management Systems
• Experience working, modifying and customizing build systems
• Experience integrating external tools and processes into build and release system
• Good knowledge of deployment processes in the SCM context Technology:
• Experience with scripting languages, such as Perl
• Comfortable in Linux/Unix environments
• Experience with Rational tools, including Build Forge, Team Concert, as well as CruiseControl, Ant, Maven and other known build systems
• A team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must have a service-oriented attitude with excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently, self-motivated, and highly focused.
• Ability to thrive in a changing environment. Ability to manage multiple projects with multiple priorities.
• A strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and software development methodologies (requirements gathering, analysis and design, development tools, version control, testing and QA, and deployment).
• Well-honed SCM skills and expert understanding of the Software Configuration Management.
• Ability to perform complex SCM tasks and ability to mentor or train others in the configuration management effort. Comfortable in continuous build and integration environment
