Position : QA Tester/ Engineer
Location: Foster City, CA
Duration: 6 months/w extension
This individual will be faced with complex software automation challenges and opportunities, with a mission to create test automation to effectively ensure the quality and reliability of application/system software that is highly resilient and optimally performing on very large distributed networks.
* Design, develop, deploy and maintain automated system tests to replicate real-world scenarios.
* Create scripts and libraries from design docs, requirements docs and documented test cases/test procedures.
* Conduct and participate in design and code reviews.
* Diagnose, debug and perform root-cause analysis of issues and defects.
Basic Qualifications
* Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
* 5+ years of software quality engineering experience overall.
* 3+ years experience developing complex test automation and scripts.
* 2+ years experience with Object-Oriented design and development.
* 3+ years experience in Server side Development and/or QA Engineering.
* 1-3 years of working experience with UNIX/Linux and Windows OS environments and HTTP, DNS, TCP / IP.
Desired Qualifications
* Experience developing in Perl (especially OO Perl) a strong plus.
* Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and excellent problem solving/troubleshooting skills.
