Citrix / VDI Services Team. In a nutshell, we are looking for a Systems Admin with 3 years / 5 years experience at the most. Supporting offshore using groups. We are looking for an Infrastructure Support Analyst with strong technical aptitude and ability to communicate and interface with globally diverse work groups, ability to escalate issues and interface with Internal Technical Groups regarding Offshore User Group Issues. This position is more hands off / analytical, rather than hands on / technical. 6 month contract with potential to go longer.
This is with our Citrix / VDI Services Team that is currently engaged in a long term service contract. Team strength is currently 14 and we are interviewing additional candidates to join the team. . Infrastructure Analyst / Service Coordinator
Global IT Infrastructure Services (GIS) - Global Offshore Services
Global Offshore Services manages the Infrastructure Operations for the Client's business preferred offshore partners globally. This position will focus primarily on US operations but will participate in global projects and support and required. GOS Infrastructure Operations including Service Desk, Extranet, WAN, LAN, VMWare Virtual Desktop, Citrix Enabled applications, direct client / server VPN access.
Position will be responsible for managing the implementation of small offshore projects (engagements) – including resource coordination, service desk integration, technical coordination and reporting functions.
• Position will act as a technical Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for Infrastructure Operations, Global Offshore Services; providing technical support, incident & problem management, escalation management and small project coordination for offshore projects/services.
• Escalation management requires a rapid starting, self starting, self managing, proactive and driven IT professional.
• Broad knowledge and experience with end-to-end infrastructure technologies – including Windows desktop environments, general networking (LAN & WAN), firewall and third party connectivity methodologies.
• Weekly and monthly reporting of operational status, project status and individual activity.
• Experience with VMWare Desktop and Citrix Terminal Services strongly preferred.
• Extended support hours as required including 24x7 phone coverage during escalation periods.
• Strong customer facing and communications skills blended with high technical skills required
• Ability to work in a fast paced, flexible, multicultural and multinational environment
* Current or recent Pharma experience
