Duration: 8-12 Months
Required Skills:
* IT professional who has at least 5 years of experience in Software Development and Implementation and strong ability in resolving production issues.
* The technical skills must include PowerBuilder 11.X and above, PFC, SQL and Sybase database skills.
* Experience in SQL and Stored Procedure Programming and Tuning
* Well versed with performance tuning from the PowerBuilder code perspective and Database perspective.
* Analyze business requirements and develop system specification based on business objectives.
* Should be able do code reviews and explain clearly the requirement and code attached to the requirement.
* Must be well conversant with the Change management process; hands on experience with configuration tool like ClearCase.
* Must have excellent debugging/problem solving skills and should be able to pick up and understand the requirements quickly.
* Must be well versant with testing processes and in providing timely status report to management team.
* Experience working with UNIX, Shell Scripting
Responsibilities include:
* Investigate, diagnose, and resolve production issues with a quick turnaround time.
* Design, develop, and unit test new enhancement requests.
* Technical analysis and documentation of complex functions in the system.
* Interact with the testing team for testing activities.
* Utilize new requirements and updates to existing requirements to produce required design documentation.
* Be able to rapidly acquire basic understanding of systems in order to effectively complete the above functions.
* Responsible for understanding and supporting the software release schedule.
Desired Skills:
* Must be a self starter and able to work on a list of objectives without supervision and possess good written and verbal communication skills.
* Must have ability to analyze requirements and formulate design.
* Experience with Design Patterns and development best practices.
* The individual must have strong time-management and organizational skills.
