Job Description:
Siteminder/Oracle Access Manager Administrator
The Siteminder/Oracle Access Manager Administrator will be involved in the administration of the security for our web applications. (This is not a manager position however in case the title throws you.)
50% of work is classified as Operational / Support work of the Web Hosting Environment:
- Administer enterprise Oracle Access Manager and CA Siteminder systems consisting of multiple instances, managing replication, schema administration, troubleshooting performance issues
- Will be creating protection policies, configuring single-sign-on (SSO) for applications, managing software and server upgrades for Siteminder infrastructure, etc
- Configure Identity Federations with external business partners and vendors
- Configure Authentication and Authorization rules for new and existing applications
- Provide day-to-day developer support in .NET and Java including analysis, debugging and maintenance for a subset of the Web Hosting environment
- Provide 24x7 support of subset of Web Hosting environment (i.e. Multiple J2EE engines, Apache proxies, load balancers, UNIX, Windows, mainframe, etc.), which includes over a hundred servers and over a hundred applications. The platforms consist of a variety of hardware and operating systems. Understanding of various disciplines and technologies, such as web, directory services, directory synchronization, security, databases, networking, infrastructure and application development is key (On call cycle - 24 hours support 1 week primary, 1 week secondary, then 7 weeks off )
- Perform project requests, assignments and deliverables for platform-specific implementations. This includes installation and maintenance of all web server software, configuration of load balancers, migration of resource and code changes as needed
Application Support:
- Provide Application Technical Support for one or more applications
Maintain an understanding of the functional aspects of the applications
Troubleshoot and provide solutions for technical questions and issues or routes to appropriate escalation group - Deploy candidate versions of applications to staging environment for testing and UAT and to production as scheduled following relevant change control process
- Update service requests and resolutions to call tracking database
Regularly share application knowledge when new problem resolutions are relevant to others in the team - Effectively use support tools available and demonstrates knowledge of available resources
- Demonstrate knowledge of applications and platforms currently utilized by the Firm and strong technical knowledge of products relevant to assigned applications
- Escalate issues or problems that cannot be resolved to Development
50% of the work is project based
- Working as part of the project team to deliver new websites, build new SSO onto the websites, etc
This is similar to the role that was open previously in Atlanta for an LDAP Administrator, but this particular position is different now in that the LDAP experience is secondary. (IIS and Apache Web Server experience is also secondary now for this particular opening. The primary emphasis on this req now is the Oracle Access Manager and CA Siteminder experience.
Qualifications
- Completion of Bachelor's degree in MIS, CS, Technical Certification, etc. and/or 3-5+ years of experience at a minimum
- Primary: Experience administering CA Siteminder or Oracle Access Manager
- Secondary: Experience managing Enterprise LDAP systems such as Novell eDirectory, Oracle Internet Directory, IBM Directory Server. Experience administering LDAP Users and Groups. Functional knowledge of LDAP queries
- General understanding of TCP/IP networks, HTTP, and DNS technologies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong knowledge of web applications and infrastructure
- Strong knowledge of distributed systems
Desired Skills
- IIS 6 and 7 and Windows Server 2003/2008 skills
- Familiar with SAML authentication and authorization
- F5 Load Balancers or other load balancing technology
- Java or .NET development experience
- Linux and Apache experience
- Helpful to have some IBM WebSphere experience
Experience in application architecture, design, and development
