DB2 DBA needed in UNix envoirnment

Position         : DB2 DBA
On-boarding        : Immediate
Location         : Bloomington, IL

Job Description        :

Requesting experienced external associate DBA with knowledge and experience working with DB2 on UNIX.  Business Intelligence, Data Warehouse/Data Mart knowledge desired.

1. Understands and has strong experience with technical environments for DB2 on UNIX.
2.  Provides physical design work and systems database tuning.
3.  Consults on database designs.
4.  Assists in facilitating database and application design reviews.
5.  Establishes database system business resumption rules, (back-up and recovery).
6.  Minimizes and manages data redundancy.
7.  Consults and promotes reuse of data.
8.  Using the logical model, build physical database and associated metadata.
9.  Coordinate and manage the organization in the physical database for current and future database environments.
10. Development and maintenance of the database.
11. Work with project efforts to assist and consult on database design and implementation.

Additional Skills

DB2 application programming, use of DB2 utilities and tools
SQL coding/performance tuning
Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse/Data Mart
DB2 UNIX
Perl scripting
DB2 product installs
