Java Technical Lead / Developer

Twin Cities,MN

3-6 months

Responsibilities:

Ø  Expected to translate Business Requirements into detailed technical design and implement solution

Ø  Provide technical leadership where required to drive the design and software implementation activities.

Core Competencies:

Ø  Must have 10+ years experience in developing and maintaining software systems.

Ø  Experience in going through a full software project lifecycle: Definition, Design, Implementation, Production and Support.

Ø  Team Player

Ø  Superior written and verbal communication skills.

Ø  Analysis and design - Analyze and document customer requirements and produce detailed technical designs. Work with  

    other developers in implementing solution.

Ø Experience building mission critical and industrial strength (heavy data and volumes) using Java and Unix platform.

Ø Collaborative – Ability to work with technical staff that can be geographically dispersed (within USA and India).

Experience/Qualifications:

Ø (Essential) BA/BS required (Computer Science concentration preferred)

Ø (Essential) Candidates will possess a minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience, IT solution design experience of complex, large- scale, and strategic projects. With experience of both technical infrastructure and software architecture, ideally working for a dynamic system integrator / value-add partner / solution provider in an external customer-focused environment.

Ø (Essential) Detailed knowledge of software architecture principles and Methodologies.

Ø (Essential) Be customer focused - able to present technical information and concepts to non-technical people

Ø (Essential) Competency in one or more technologies and how best to utilize them in a building out a solution

Ø (Essential) Competent in database technologies, specifically as they would pertain to high throughput transactional and/or large data warehousing solutions.

Ø (Important/Nice to have) Solution design experience of portal services, directory and identity services, collaboration tools, networking solutions - both LAN and WAN infrastructure, server, desktop and storage architectures.

Ø (Important) Strong industry experience in one or more industry area, including Healthcare, Financial service and Retail/Packages good.

Ø ( Important)History of successfully managing a team of technologist (Team size: 2-7). Successfully engaged on projects from Inception through completion.
