Duration: 6 + Months
Responsibilities
• Designing and implementing clinical data extracts
• Building the ETL process to meet specific requirements
• Creating high performance and highly scalable ETL designs
• Establishing and implementing ETL best practices and guidelines
• Consult with senior clinicians on new projects and enhancements to existing products
Basic Qualifications
• 5+ years experience in a technical support role for Epic Systems electronic medical record (EMR) suite of applications.
• The candidate will be well versed in analyzing work flows, clinical context, and fluent in the programming environment associated with the EMR database technology (Cache).
• The candidate will also be familiar with hosting systems environments (i.e. operating systems utilities, editors, batch facilities, etc), ETL concepts, and scripting skills to package up work for the shared technical services group.
• Experience with Oracle, SQL, UNIX and Shell Scripting etc.
• BS degree (Computer Science concentration preferred) or equivalent experience required
Preferred
• 2 years experience in data warehousing/business intelligence development and architecture experience (full life cycle)
• 2 years experience deploying and supporting large, complex data warehouse/business intelligence solutions (full life cycle)
• 2 years experience designing relational (conceptual, logical, physical) and dimensional data models for data warehouse/business intelligence
• 3 years Chronicles or Chronicles certification
• Experience with data integration tools
• Understanding of reporting tools (Cognos or SAS)
