Description:

We are currently looking for a SharePoint 2010 Developer for our client's Equity Investment Technology(EIT) . This individual will be part of the Chart Room project technology team.

The selected candidate will be part of a senior development team working in a fast-paced environment using cutting edge web technologies to develop business solutions. 

We are seeking a highly motivated individual that is able to see the 'big picture' and help establish and follow best practices. The ideal candidate must be a team player with a strong understanding of software design principals in order create robust scalable solutions and help mentor junior team members.

 

Primary Responsibilities  

• Develop high quality software solutions that comply with technical architecture standards and best practices.
• Produce high quality technical design documents, including determining appropriate deliverables to be produced during application design effort.
• Assess user and system requirements information for accuracy and completeness.
• Identify key application design issues (e.g. maintainability and performance) and recommend possible solutions.
• Assist project managers in monitoring project status, possibly directing the deliverables of other project team members.
• Facilitate technical design sessions and provide subject matter expertise to business and project management.
• Analyze and recommend improvements to the development process.
• Review and/or participate in the development of test plans, test cases, and test data.
• Participate in product release activities and contribute to troubleshooting production issues as needed.

 Qualifications:

• 5+ years of professional software development experience working with Microsoft C#.
• Financial Service and Investment Management required.

 Experience, Skills and Knowledge

•  Experience with developing on the SharePoint 2007/2010 platform is essential.
• Programming Skills: C#/.NET, JQuery, Web Services, XSL, and XML.
• IBM Rational ClearCase and thorough understanding of source control management systems.
• Strong analytical, change management and interpersonal skills are essential for success in this position.
• Experience with Agile development methodology.
• Experience mentoring junior team members.
• Strong interpersonal, relationship management, and facilitation skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Quality focused.
• Fundamental experience in systems development lifecycle methodologies, especially in the definition, requirements, and design of business applications.
• IBM Rational Team Concert experience a plus.
