Job Title: Netezza Architect
Location: Wilmington, DE
Duration: 6+ Months
Experience: At least 5 + yrs with Netezza
Tools: NPS Admin, WINSQL, Informatica (or any data integration tool)
Domain Skills : Life Sciences domain experience is a good to have
Other Must have skills :
§ Strong in Data Modeling
§ Understanding query planner and provide suggestions for performance
§ Knowledge on Data Integration (Abinitio/Informatica/Data stage/any other ETL tool), Stron Reporting Integration skills
§ Good understanding on ANSI SQL and Database Concepts (Traditional databases(Oracle/SQL Server/Any other), Appliance(Netezza)
§ Capable of developing architecture and solution blueprints for BI applications
§ Ability to review the designs against the requirements and provide feedback to implementation teams
§ Strong communication skills
§ Informatica- Power exchange for Netezza
Good to Have:
§ Understanding of Netezza Twin Fin Architectural concepts
Responsibilities:
§ Develop and publish roadmap of project specific solution services based on emerging frameworks and technologies to recommend the best solutions
§ Provide technical leadership during the design of projects providing inputs on Business Intelligence
§ Assisting development teams in creating reusable components and framework to build scalable solutions
§ Maintain awareness of existing or potential customer software/hardware situations and their mapping to functionality and solutions
§ Capability to determine hardware requirements for scalable systems
§ Support Project Managers and Release Managers in the environment and capacity planning at various phases of the project life cycle
§ Guide project teams on technical, architectural and implementation design documents.
§ Actively work to educate others on potential problems and resolutions. Responsible for sharing information and best practices across teams
