Position9964 UNIX Administration
Location: Collegeville, PA
Contract: 12+ Months

 
J0b Decription:
UNIX Admin Skills:
Space Monitoring
Checking the connectivity with the UNIX servers
Archive old file on a regular basic
User creation on the various servers
Moving the files from ftp server to Backup server
Sweep process to move files from sftp and ftp as and when requested
Cleaning up space in ftp server when the server gets full.
Other FTP server issues
Raising the request for the vendor to drop and pick up files from the ftp/sftp server.
Resolve any issues the vendors are having in accessing the folders or the server.

Windows Server :
Any Windows server related issues
Drive Clean Up activity
Weekly SRM report will be sent. Need to monitor that for space issues in the Windows server.

Oracle/Teradata Server Admin Tasks:
User Management
Space Management
Increasing the Table Space if required
Data copy between environments
creating DB Secure Files
Checking the connectivity when the DB goes down.
Requesting the access to the users
Patch installation - Co-ordinate with the required teams on communication.
Refresh Activities
Teradata Work Table errors
To kill a user when there is the table is getting skwed
Understand the roles and profiles, Access rights and assign it to the users as per their request to a DB
Move space from one DB to another when required
Understand the application user and the general user
Teradata  - Any upgradation in the tool
Database refresh activities from PROD to QA and QA to DEV

Autosys:
Upgrade of Autosys to AutoSys R 11.3(WCC)
AutoSys Service Start and Stop
Vendor Management
Checking AutoSys works fine after restart

Other Admin activities:
FireWall Issues
Any Changes in Citrix
Network Slowness
Citirx/Sharepoint Issue
Communication with all stake holders
 
Other:
DMR Server Restart
DMR to SBM Migration
Managing Oracle Database used by DMR
Vendor Management
Creating the users and assigning the access
Installation of Sercvice Packs and Hotfixes
Creating Informatica Connections
Shutdown/Restart of the Informatica Services
Installation of Informatica Plugins like TPT Plugin,enable Plugins etc
Working with UNIX team in case of any OS patches that gets installed
Vendor Management
