Position 1: SAS Administrator

Position 2: SAS Developer

Position 3: Dataflux & qMDM Analyst

 

 

Position 1: SAS Platform Admin

Position 2: SAS Developer

 

Client is looking for a SAS Platform Administrator and SAS Developer to fully administer and develop reports using SAS EBI Tools. Also should be able to provide knowledge transfer to others regarding a SAS EBI / EDI multi-tier windows platform instance. In addition, the environment also has the Enterprise Miner, JMP and DataFlux QMDM. The environment consists of a DEV/ TEST/ PROD.

 

The SAS Administrator would need to fulfill all standard SAS Administration type duties such as creating users, groups, defining libraries, databases, servers, creating security scheme security, etc.  In addition, this SAS Administrator would need to be able to::

·        Interface and coordinate activities as pertaining to SAS between the Customer System Administrators and Mid-Tier Administrators.

·        Should be able to build reports and dashboards using SAS EBI platform

·        Should be able to assist user on various SAS Tools (Base SAS, EG, OLAP, Information map, DataFlux, Dashboard, Portal)

·        Aware of Change management process along with complete life cycle process and methodology

·        Knowledge of Active Directory Authentication and SAS access to ODBC and Teradata is must

·        The Administrator will need to comb through SAS Technical Support Tracks and perform root cause analysis to provide solutions.

·        Should have knowledge of SAS 9.2 to 9.3 migrations

·        Should be able to perform installation for client and server

 

Specific Skills:

·        SAS 9.3 SAS EBI, Enterprise Guide, Eminer, JMP

·        Experience with SAS Management Console

·        Creating libraries (SAS and RDBMS)

·        creating security schemes

·        Creating users, groups, roles

·        Defining servers

·        administering web applications

·        Defining, troubleshooting and monitoring SAS servers

·        Experience with multi-tier SAS environments

·        Experience with SAS configuration files

·        Experience with JBOSS

·        Experience with Active Directory Authentication

·        Experience administering SAS Mid-tier

·        Experience with SAS EBI, EDI, EG, EM,  JMP and DataFlux for administration

·        Experience with different SAS servers and troubleshooting potential configuration problems

·        Experience with developing various objects using SAS EBI platform tools

·        Expertise with LFS and scheduling using Management console and operating system scheduler

·        Performance tuning and optimization expertise is must at various tools and implementation level

·        Administration and Installation knowledge will be added advantage

·        Good verbal & written communication skills

·        Base SAS Certified and SAS Certified BI Content Developer for SAS 9 will be first preference

·        Have experience and expertise of developing and deploying stored process based dashboard and reports.

·        Have worked on SAS Enterprise Guide 5 and 4.3

·        Hands on experience on dimensional modeling

·        Expertise in creating Drill down, OLAP based Complex reports.

·        Should have worked on Dashboards, KPI and Scorecards

·        Should have ETL Optimization and Architecture expertise

·        Have expertise on scheduling and optimizing SAS ETL jobs , Stored process, Reports

·        Worked on terabyte of data will have added advantage

·        Dataflux knowledge will be added advantage

·        Data quality concepts and implementation using SAS EDI tools will be added advantage

·        Knowledge of SAS Administration activity is must

 

Position 3: Dataflux & qMDM

 

Skills:

  • Data Analysis and Entity Resolution

·        Develop an understanding of the customer's data environment through data profiling and analyses using DataFlux and SAS reporting environment that provides detail understanding of the data health.

·        Execute complex SQL queries of large Teradata table(s) efficiently. (Note: Advanced command of SQL is important – beyond just simple PROC SQL commands in SAS to include perhaps something like Toad or

·        teradat SQL assistant)

·        Conceptual understanding of – and/or prior experiences related to – data profiling, fuzzy matching, Match code generation, Golden customer identification,  entity resolution, and signal detection theory (specifically

·        with respect to SD theory: designing and improving upon systems that monitor, minimize, and balance false positive and false negative outcomes).

·        Also should have experience in integrating Data Quality solution with OLTP system using web service.

·        Perform the above tasks using Base SAS, SAS/ACCESS to teradata, Enterprise Guide, DataFlux qMDM, and/or DI Studio .

·        Prior experience with DataFlux dfPower Studio is must.

 

Experience in a Client-Facing Role

·        Attend daily meetings with the project team and additional technical sessions as needed.

·        Serve as a technical and analytical resource in efforts to integrate SAS technology into the production system—either indirectly or directly.

·        Perform any knowledge transfer related to SAS software required by the customer.

·        SAS 9.2/9.3 Platform Administration Knowledge will be added advantage

·        The SAS Consultant will also:

  • Possess the ability to perform with little direct supervision as a self-starter.
  • Demonstrate excellent troubleshooting skills.
  • Be a self-motivated, creative, and inquisitive problem solver with a strong work ethic.
  • Be (or rapidly become) a thought-leader in the area of analytics/data science with respect to entity resolution as it pertains to the customer's mission.
  • Be able to generate written documentation of all work performed.
  • Have a customer-focused demeanor.
  • Have effective oral and written communication skills.
