Sr. Software Engineer

Location: Baltimore, MD

Duration: 3+ Months

Rate:$45/hr on C2C

 

Sr. Software Engineer that has an expertise in Javascript and Front End development. 

 

The candidate should be versed in object oriented design (OOD/OOP) and the software design lifecycle and have relevant experience in design and implementation of high quality solutions. Additionally, the individual may be asked to work on different projects depending on where the priorities are at any given time in the company. The ability to be flexible and work in a fast-paced Agile environment will be paramount.

 

Skills:
• Demonstrated engineering skills associated with a Software Engineer role on software development projects
• Experience in the design and development of Web products; SOA based infrastructure; Reporting solutions; large scale, high volume, scalable infrastructural solutions
• Experience in assistance of executing a software implementation plan
• Sound understanding of Object Oriented Analysis & Design principles
• Experience in building rich client side interfaces using JavaScript and web technologies (HTML, XHTML, CSS, AJAX, XML, JSON)
• We will utilize some of these skills:
? Experience of building web services and infrastructural solutions using Java based frameworks (Jersey, Spring)
? Experience with JavaScript frameworks (Ext.js preferred, JQuery, Dojo or others a plus)
? Some experience in using Hibernate, Spring, JPA
? SQL experience across Oracle, MySQL
? Firm understanding of SOAP and REST web services
? Knowledge of cross-browser/cross-platform compatibility
? Demonstrated understanding of backend services and environments for developing web applications (Unix, Apache, Tomcat, FTP and server architecture)
? Experience with performance and optimization standards and performance tuning following industry techniques for front end applications and infrastructure
? Experience developing in a standards-based environment using version control software
? Experience with build management tools (Maven preferred)
? Experience with Continuous Integration tools (Jenkins)
? Understand and have used SOAP, REST, Entity Diagrams and produced UML diagrams as part of the Design process
• History of creativity, innovative thought, awareness of current technical trends and high levels of motivation
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Excellent English communications skills

Education / Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field, AND
• At least 3 - 4 years of experience in software development, OR
Relevant combination of education and experience.
