Title: UNIX Systems Admin

Location: Jersey City, NJ.

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

 

• Systems Administrator with knowledge of Symantec Disaster Recovery Advisor (DRA)
• Delivery of proactive Application/Infrastructure Service offering utilizing Symantec Disaster Recovery Advisor (DRA) in conjunction with several client specific tools and processes.
• Daily Operational support of the Symantec Disaster Recovery Advisor Platform including Scan troubleshooting, and ticket Analysis.
• Evaluation of detected resiliency relate issues against client defined best practice
• Work with application and infrastructure teams to perform application on boarding, schedule scanning at appropriate windows, triage risks, work with Application teams on correcting and remediating risks

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of professional experience in large scale, distributed environments with hands on experience in multiple technologies including Network, Storage, O/S and Database.
• 5+ years of experience as an Systems Administration of cross platform large scale distributed environment
• Experience with implementation and operation of mission critical applications in large scale environments and organizations. Must be fluent in high availability and recovery design, techniques, architectures, and technologies
• Understanding and working knowledge of Vendor Clustering technologies including Microsoft, VERITAS
• Understanding and working knowledge of Multi vendor operating systems platforms, Microsoft, IBM AIX, Red Hat, Solaris.
• Understanding and working knowledge of Database technologies SQL, Oracle, Sybase, DB2
• Understanding and working knowledge of cross vendor virtualization platform, vmware, Solaris. AIX
• Strong operational support, disaster recovery, and risk management experience
• Must have strong issue resolution / problem management skills with ability to intuitively determine the most effective escalation and resolution path
