SharePoint Developer
The UMHS Medical Center Information Technology (MCIT) Department is seeking an experienced SharePoint 2007/2010 Developer to create custom branded site templates, navigational hierarchies, and custom applications. The ideal candidate would be able to create and enhance the user experience for the UMHS SharePoint 2010 Farm, assist in gathering requirements for specific MCIT departments, and provide additional help with support and administrative issues. This position will work with the SharePoint Administrator and Business Analyst to implement and support SharePoint at UMHS. This is a unique opportunity to help launch a new, collaborative Enterprise Level platform at UMHS.
Responsibilities
*Ability to develop applications using proven patterns and practices, including software factories that are applicable to custom SharePoint Development/Solutions. Also, development of these applications around the core concepts of business process management, collaboration, enterprise content management, and custom branding, as adopted and implemented by MCIT/UMHS
*Must demonstrate the ability to help in the development of wireframes, software solution architecture leveraging .Net 3.5/4.0, Windows Communication Foundation and Workflow Foundation, identifying key Business process management (BPM) processes and align with UI/UX elements using wireframes and mockups.
* Must demonstrate the ability to quickly prototype or demonstrate in a Proof of Concept (POC) rapid application skills and mock solutions that would be representative of solutions required by any business unit.
* Must have 3 - 5 years experience with Visual Studio 2008 Team System / Visual Studio 2010 Ultimate, with C#.Net (preferable, but not required).
* Must have 3 - 5 years experience with Team Foundation Server, the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), source/version control, work item management in TFS; bug tracking/fixing; general knowledge of the Application Lifecycle Management (ALM), understanding general patterns/practices and methodologies implemented by Microsoft for SDLC and ALM.
*Must have 3 - 5 years experience in .Net 2.0 to .Net 4.0, and sound, working knowledge of the SharePoint Object Model and Web Services architecture of SharePoint.
*Must have 2 years experience and sound knowledge of the SharePoint 2010 Object Model, Client Object Model, AJAX, CSS/CSS3, XTHML, WCF and solution architecture leveraging the Client Object Model vs. the SharePoint Object Model, and able to document why one would be used vs. the other.
*Must have solid knowledge of Sandboxed Solutions and development for these type sites.
*Provide on-going support for applications and custom solutions.
*Must have sound knowledge and experience developing with SharePoint Designer 2010 and InfoPath Forms Designer 2010, InfoPath Filler, and custom InfoPath Solutions with Code-Behind and Forms Services publishing of InfoPath Forms solutions.
* Must write unit test cases and documentation for support of all solutions developed, requiring experiencing with Visual Studio Test, or some unit-level testing-like solution.
*Work as a consultant on SharePoint customization projects. In this capacity, the candidate would be providing guidance potentially to teams of other developers working on custom SharePoint solutions as well.
*Take direction from management in implementing solutions.
* Must be able to work from high-level requirements, driving the detailed specification documentation with Business Analyst and other SharePoint solution architects/developers; Ability to drive prototypes to finished solutions, including deployment packaging and supporting administration in the deployment of the SharePoint solutions.
Required Qualifications*
- A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience with .NET technologies and the SharePoint Object Model.
- At least five (5) years of technical experience as an IT Developer and Designer
- Minimum of three (3+) years' experience developing SharePoint applications
