Need ----- Virtualization Engineer

Location : Irving, TX

Duration : 12 Months

 

Responsible for all aspects of Microsoft virtualization. This includes research, design, test, and manage technologies implemented by the desktop organization. Majority of the focus will be on Microsoft Virtualization technologies including Hyper-V and SCVMM to streamline the desktop infrastructure.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES: Research, design, deploy, and test Windows 2008 R2 Operating System. Research, design, deploy, and test System Center Virtual Machine Manager Research, design, deploy, and test self-service portal with System Center Virtual Machine Manager Design, implement, and support server virtualization using Hyper-V. Manage HP MSA storage in lab environment Manage HP Blade enclosure and other stand-alone servers in lab environment. Responds to the needs and questions of engineers about servers in lab and Production environments. Develops and adheres to network standards. Provides planning and technical support for company installations. Provide assistance to other support groups as necessary Assists in the selection and recommendation of standardized equipment selection. Stays abreast of new technologies as it applies to business needs. Performs other duties as assigned.

 

REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential duty. 8 to 10 years of experience in the field as a Systems Engineer. An MCSE certification is a plus.

 

Design and Implementation experience with Windows 2008 R2 Operating System. Design and Implementation experience Hyper-V Design and Implementation experience System Center Virtual Machine Manager. Experience with integrating HP tools with System Center. Design and Implementation experience with HP C-7000 blade enclosure Design and Implementation experience with HP Virtual Connects in a blade enclosure Experience with HP MSA storage including creating and managing volumes. Ability to diagnose and solve problems. Effectively communicate.
