Need SharePoint Dev/ Designer for MA ! MUST come for F2F.

 

I need a Sharepoint Developer for a 3-6 month contract in Boston –

 

Local to MA/ RI/CT/NH/NY /NJ will be given pref.

 

 

 

$50/hr CORP, 37.5 hour workweek

 

Need in-person interview after phone screen.

 

 

We are looking for an experienced SharePoint designer and developer to help create, build and migrate the employee portal site.  You will report to the Customer Outreach Director during this project and you will be working with IT staff, a Web Services team and a group of individual content providers. 

 

You will be required to do the following: 

 

  1. Develop a web portal with the design, navigation and functionality that are defined by us.
  2. Make recommendations to improve the web portal functionality, navigation, information architecture and usability.
  3. Provide transfer of knowledge and training to the following groups:
    1. IT staff:  provide training to help IT staff support the SharePoint site on the backend
    2. Web Services team:  provide training for managing the SharePoint site, administer permissions, build functionality and content, resolve user issues, etc.
    3. Individual content providers:  provide hands-on instructional training to create and edit content.   
  4. Develop documentation as the web portal is being built.  Provide written materials for training for above groups.
  5. Build a new requisition system for ordering supplies. 
  6. Take the lead in migrating the web portal content and assist in building new content including forms, etc. 
  7. Develop a plan to system-test the web portal.  Assist in staff usability testing.
  8. Turn over a completely functional web portal that is fully tested and signed off by us.
  9. Migrate a separate DUA collaboration SharePoint site after the employee web portal is launched.
  10. Other duties related to this project, as assigned.

 

 

Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of SharePoint designer and developer experience.  Must be proficient with SharePoint Enterprise 2010, SharePoint Designer 2007, InfoPath, and integration with Microsoft Office 2010. 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science (preferred) or equivalent experience, excellent knowledge of web technology, web connectivity and programming languages. Working knowledge of server-side technology and database integration.
  • Proven experience in developing a SharePoint website.  You will need to provide evidence of this. 
  • Excellent project management skills; able to prioritize and complete multiple tasks and high volume of work on deadline.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently; able to work with groups across the organization, complete projects and tasks quickly and accurately. 
  • Strong analytical skills; able to quickly grasp the needs of the organization and suggest creative solutions to achieve objectives.
  • Attention to details; excellent quality control.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; excellent writing skills.  Able to present and defend concepts and ideas.
  • Good technical and problem-solving skills.

Strong work ethics; able to come on time and work diligently during contract period.
