Title: Jr. Business Analyst
Location: San Diego, CA
Length: 12 month contract
Interview: Phone then F2F
Rate: $30/hr
The position examines and evaluates purpose and content of business initiatives to develop new, or improve existing technology platforms. The analyst works closely with project managers, analysts, and business leaders across the organization to identify project and product needs. The BA will recommend changes to business workflow and/or technical requirements. May prepare and issue instructions concerning generation, completion, and distribution of reports according to new or revised practices, procedures, or policies of reports management.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Researches and documents workflow business practice and business requirements within an organization
- Interviews various staff and business leaders to identify opportunities to enhance productivity
- Performs data analysis, reporting out findings
Qualifications:
- 2+ years business analyst experience
- 4 year degree preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft: Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, Project, Visio
- Strong research, analytical, and negotiation skills
- Experience working with 3rd party vendors
- Project management skills
- Ability to work independently and in group settings
- Knowledge of the financial industry
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Willingness to work with all levels of management
