Front End .Net Developer

Location: Culver City, CA

Duration: 1 year contract

 

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and document front-end code for digital asset management web sites, including:

o Implementing new enhancements to our existing web sites

o Troubleshooting issues with our existing systems

• Work on an team of software developers, business analysts, systems analysts, testers, and managers

• Share acquired skills/knowledge with team members and mentor junior developers as necessary

• Actively contribute new ideas and programming concepts to the team

• Follow coding standards Requirements

 

 

• Deep experience in most (preferably, all) of the following:

• JavaScript MVC experience is a MUST

o JavaScript

o jQuery

o CSS (2 & 3)

o AJAX

o ASP.NET MVC 3 and Web Forms

o HTML (4 & 5) and XHTML

o XML and JSON

• Experience developing web sites requiring cross-browser/cross-platform compatibility

• Working knowledge of IIS (preferably 7 or 7.5)

• Familiarity with the services-oriented architecture, in particular ASMX, WCF, and RESTful services

• Can take a high-level idea and develop it into something tangible with little or no guidance or supervision

• Proactively initiates, develops, and maintains effective working relationships with team members

• Knowledge of coding and testing best practices

• Actively seeks opportunities to broaden and deepen knowledge base and proficiencies

• Must possess excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

• Ability to code under pressure

• Self-motivated

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Must have a sense of humor

 

Bonus (nice to have, but not required)

• Web design experience

• UI and UX skills

• Digital asset management (DAM) experience

• Experience with mobile technologies

• Working knowledge of Team Foundation Server (TFS)

• Agile/Scrum development experience

 

Experience

• At least 5 years experience as a front-end .NET developer

• BA/BS or higher

Anything less than this and you’ll have to amaze us with outstanding skills that prove beyond any doubt that you’re capable for this position.
