Client – State of IA              

Location –  Des Moines, IA

Duration –  6 Months (two 6-month renewal options)

 

Required Skills

• Create Business documents for acceptance by management within established deadlines.
• Create and use requirements traceability matrices to track progress of business requirements from development through signoff.

• Develop Training Plans.

• Facilitate meetings with users and business owners to determine their needs.

• Accurately prepare written business correspondence that is coherent, grammatically correct, effective, professional, and engaging.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite 2010, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.

• Has the ability to work and communicate with internal and external customers in a polite, courteous, and cooperative manner.

·          Provide hands-on consultation and business process improvement facilitation on behalf of the CFO to assist in defining human resources roles and responsibilities agency-wide.

·          Creating, standardizing and implementation of related business processes, development of procedure and business process flow charts and communicating the resulting policy and process to Department leadership, management and other personnel as applicable. Develop and implement performance measures to assist Department in optimizing future HR performance.

·          Assist in defining human resources roles, and responsibilities agency-wide for the State of IA.  Creating, standardizing and implementation of related business processes, development of procedure and business process flow charts and communicating the resulting policy and process to Department leadership, management and other personnel as applicable. 

 

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

• Graduation from an accredited college or university and experience equal to six years of full-time work in a business analyst role.

• Has experience in and knowledge of formalized project management methods and techniques such as PMI, CMMI, etc.
• Experience in Lean/Six Sigma or Kaizen, developing communications, and defining processes strongly preferred.
