Job responsibilities:
Design, development and QA of .Net / Silverlight 4.0 based application
New development, enhancements as well as 2nd level support as needed
Be independent, should be able to get the knowledge transferred by working closely with customer teams and onshore team
Strong technical hands-on skills, good analytical and problem solving abilities
Expected technical skills:
Experience of creating Silverlight UI in XAML
Proficiency in Silver Light 4.0/3.0, C#(4.0/3.0/2.0) with MS SQL Server and / or Oracle 10g / 9i database
Good exposure to MSSQL / Oracle, should have experience in writing basic PL / SQL
Know-how of IIS and SSRS Reporting
Familiarity with XML Web Services (SOAP, WSDL and UDDI), Service Oriented Architecture [SOA] concepts using .NET Framework would be nice to have
Experience of working with PRISM and MVVM design patterns for Silverlight and WPF would be an added advantage
Soft skills:
Excellent communication skills – verbal, written
Excellent analytical and logical skills, problem solving capabilities
Self motivated, self managed individual
Prior experience of working with virtual / distributed teams in agile methodology would be an added advantage
