Roles & Responsibilities :
A Senior Enterprise Architect is responsible for defining, upholding, and communicating the vision of the IT architecture and solutions that support the business strategies. This individual will provide architectural leadership, guidance to collaborate and support the EIT Business Support, Technology, Governance and finance teams to align the IT solutions with the needs of the enterprise. In particular, they will guide and support the delivery of new IT solutions for UTi’s Contract Logistics and Distribution business units. A Senior Architect skills and knowledge must span multiple architecture domains (e.g. Application/solution architecture, Technical/Infrastructure architecture, Information/Data Architecture & Business Architecture) required to ensure balanced solutions. As an IT leader architects are expected to influence the organization and work independently with senior business and IT leaders. .
•Provides architectural vision for developing and implementing enterprise architecture initiatives that improve IT cost effectiveness, service quality and business development
•Interacts with business and EIT leadership to clarify IT expectations, solicit information and determine architectural requirements
•Provides enterprise architecture planning, oversight, evaluation, and coordination of IT management and supporting technology systems
•Ensures continuous architectural delivery and operational integrity of EIT information technology systems
•Ensures alignment of current state and target state architecture, roadmaps (including transition plan to future state), referential architecture patterns and technology standards
•Ensures that the EIT organization is current with standards set by the associated Technical Architectural Board (TAB) as well as relevant external regulatory entities
•Collaborates on new opportunities to reduce global IT costs, share application services and improve existing solutions
•Provides architectural expertise for applications that can be leveraged across lines of business
Generic Managerial Skills:None
Education :
•University degree or equivalent work experience in Computer Science, Information Technology or other related field
•TIBCO EMS/Business Works/Business Event Experience a plus
•At least 5 years experience of exposure to both in-house or outsourced systems, multiple hardware platforms, and integrated information management systems
•At least 3 years experience in developing strategic IT plans
•At least 3 years experience with business requirements gathering/analysis
•At least 3 years experience in systems design and development
•At least 3 years experience with technology evaluation, comparison and selection
