Professional Summary:

·         7+ years of experience as System Administrator in the field of VMware infrastructure and Windows Server implementation.

·         Experience and Familiar with Virtualization technologies like installing, configuring, administering VMware ESX/ESXi. Created and managed VM’s (virtual server) and also involved in the maintenance of the virtual server.

·         Datacenter/Server consolidation and virtualization using VMware technologies experience with continuity of operations for large-scale virtualized data centers; strong knowledge of VMware ESX and VMware VSphere 4 features including Vmotion, HA, Virtual SMP, Dynamic Resource Scheduler (DRS) and vSwitch design.

·         Experience P2V, V2V datacenter migrations using VMware stand alone converter.

·         Installing Vcenter Update Manager and configuring baseline’s to patch and update ESX hosts and guests.

·         Experience with networking concepts on regulating traffic on hosts and VM’s using Standard Switch and Distributed Switch.

·         Experience with VMware storage concepts like iSCSI SAN, NAS, NFS storage and RAID concept.

·         Hands on experience with HP Proliant Servers, Dell Power Edge rack mount servers and IBM servers.

·         Experience in Windows Server 2008 system administration, Active Directory,DHCP,DNS,File and Print Server, IIS(Web Server),Terminal Server, RSAT, WSUS, Microsoft Clustering and Exchange Mail Server.

·         Knowledge of networking protocols and concepts like TCP/IP, VPN, VLANS, router configuration and wireless security.

·         Experience in Microsoft Office Suite, Open Office, Visio, Outlook, and Printing Windows networking.

·         Ability to maintain a reliable and methodical approach to support and Documentation. Quick learner, highly motivated team player with excellent organizational and analytical skills.
