Senior Engineer, Oracle
As part of the global EIT organization, the Senior Engineer, Oracle is accountable to enhance Oracle EBS to ensure achievement of business goals. Primary responsibilities include partnering successfully with the solution delivery team to ensure the EBS system is implemented effectively to drive and optimize best business solution. Conducts expert level hands-on development of EBS RICE components (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements or Extensions) and serves as EBS technical subject matter expert to support or mentor integration engineers in EBS integration projects. Assesses current EBS platform, develops recommendations and best practice approach for utilization of technology on a global basis to meet current and future business needs.
Key responsibilities include:
• Serve as the key global contributing technical lead on Oracle EBS, enterprise wide solutions for multiple and concurrent small to medium sized cross functional projects, partnering with solutions delivery and business.
• Analyze and critique business requirements in conjunction with solutions delivery; conduct integration assessments and determine actual required EBS enhancements and solution plans.
• Design and propose high level EBS solutions to meet the desired business needs.
• Define and update estimation and execution status on technical aspects of the projects.
• Directly perform development, testing, documentation, training and deployment throughout the full project life cycle.
• Utilize cross functional knowledge to independently prioritize and resolve day to day small conflicts among various projects.
• Handle complex issues and propose full solution plans to management, including risk assessments and resource/timeline estimation.
• Collaborate globally and cross functionally and liaise with external vendors and support resources throughout the full project life cycle.
Education and Experience Required:
• Bachelors Degree (Computer Science preferred) or equivalent hands-on experience and computer courses.
• 7+ years related experience, including 5+ Oracle EBS experience with proven ability to introduce and execute system solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to contribute to and influence technological direction and advancement of solutions aligned to Enterprise Information Technology and company's global strategy.
• Demonstrated subject matter expert in Oracle and strong technical knowledge in EBS RICE components development.
• Aptitude and readiness for continued learning in the Oracle EBS domain.
• Self-starter and willingness to take on new challenges with resources at hand.
• Good communications skills.
