Title:           Microstrategy Technical Lead
Location:     Dover, NH

Rate:           Open 

Notes-         Expert Level (8+ years)

RESPONSIBILITIES

Work closely with application architects, project managers and business analysts to drive process improvement initiatives regarding configuration management, code moves, deployments, upgrades and tuning

Experience taking requirements and building a BI solution using the MicroStrategy 8 or 9 platform

Identify and lead process improvements for the MicroStrategy development Team 

Build strong relationships with all levels of IT and business

Provide problem root cause analysis to resolve complex system problems

Performance and data quality validation on new and existing reports and environments

Provide Technical Feasibility review and create High Level Design,Detailed Design and test plans

      Co-ordinate Development, Testing, UAT and production  migration activities

 

AREA OF EXPERTISE

Having prior experience in defining and building KPI’s for P&C insurance firms
Very good knowledge on database and data analysis techniques

 

     Expertise in reports, dashboards, scorecards, trend analysis, predictive analysis

 

TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED

Extensive hands on experience in MicroStrategy development (preferably version 8 or 9), using Architect, Desktop, Intelligence Server, Narrowcast Server, Report Services and Web components.

Experience with implementing complex hierarchies, implement role attributes and versioning, design the schema for optimal performance, use logical views to solve data modeling and schema design issues,

 Experience Optimizing query performance using both database and MicroStrategy functionality

 Experience Developing different scorecards and dashboards using MicroStrategy best practices as recommended by visual design experts, using selectors, widgets, multi-panels, etc

Teradata experience in atleast one of the projects.

 knowledge and experience with Advanced SQL and should be capable of understanding OLAP SQL   Functions
