Title: Windows Server Active Directory Consultant.

Location: Manhasset, NY

Duration: 6 Months

 minimum 10+ Years Needed.

Job Description:

Responsible for managing the Active Directory environment in the company. This will include all regular maintenance, upgrades, Group Policy management, troubleshooting and changes to meet the growing needs of the company. It includes interacting with other companies to design and make changes to support the changing needs of the business.

 

Active Directory Job Description:

Responsible for the design, implementation, architectural changes, migrations of the Active Directory Infrastructure.

Responsible for the daily operation of Active Directory servicing up to 10,000 users

This will include domain server monitoring, monitoring of replication between instances, troubleshooting DNS and other replication problems. The periodic activities will include upgrades to Active Directory to new versions, schema changes as needed to accommodate new business needs and potentially other products that may be implemented.

Responsible for the design, implementation and maintenance of interfaces of Active Directory to other companies within the company.

Responsible for Group Policy design and implementation and interfacing with other groups to implement Group Policies and troubleshoot Group Policy problems

Responsible for maintaining interfaces with the IDM application which provisions and de-provisions users.

Create Active Directory documentation on design and operations and keep it up to date.

Work on special projects including the federation of Active Directory Domains.

 

Required Experience and Skills:

· Experience and skills in supporting a large Microsoft Active Directory infrastructure in a large, complex organization.

· Experience with the latest versions of Active Directory

· Experience and demonstrated ability to manage the operational aspects of Active Directory (response times, uptime, backup and recovery, disaster recovery).

· Ability to work in fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

· Minimum of three years experience with Microsoft Active Directory

· Minimum of 10 years supporting Windows systems

· Preference for someone who will be willing to automate operations with scripting solutions.

· Strong record of operational success managing Microsoft Active Directory services including outstanding uptime and throughput.
