Title: Web Developer
Duration: 3+ C2C, Contract To Hire
Location: Monterey, CA  

 

Rate: DOEWeb Developer (LAMP, WordPress) –Mid level candidate The Web Application Developer will be responsible for supporting the existing applications as well as develop new technologies. The ideal candidate must display excellent written and verbal communications skills with demonstrated interpersonal and organization abilities. A candidate for this positio! n must be able to work in a varied, fast paced environment. Troubleshoot application solutions using the LAMP architecture with requisite expertise in Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP and WordPress. Solid foundation in working with LAMP in a Linux operating systems environment is a must. Application development experience in .Net environment is a plus. Must Have:

·         ·         5+ years Web admin/Web development experience

·         ·         Strong UI development skills required, including developing wire frames

·         ·         Experience configuring and maintaining WordPress

·         ·         Strong Apache installation/configuration skills

·         ·         Extensive MySQL knowledge

·         ·         Excellent PHP skills, experience writing and maintaining PHP content

·         ·         Experience with Java, Javascript, HTML/CSS, AJAX

·         ·         Experience with integrating websites with Google Analytics and Chartbeat and Ticker!

·         ·         Demonstrated knowledge of cross-browser/platform/OS troubleshooting issues

·         ·         Must possess strong verbal and written communications skills

·         ·         Knowledge of contemporary trends and techniques in web design

·         ·         Flexible attitude with ability to work individually or as a part of a small team

·         ·         Must be proactive, solution oriented, and self-motivated Strong time management and organizational skills

·         ·         Experience working in a webmaster role with focus on quick turnaround for web content updates

·         ·         Clear understanding of good design methods·         Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related experience.

Good to Have:

Microsoft .Net development experience
Knowledge of Oracle and SQL Server databases
