RETAIL OR ECOMMERCE DOMAIN EXPERIENCE IS HIGHLY DESIRABLE BUT NOT MANDATORY

 

Job Description:

 

·         BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical or art field (or equivalent), with strong competencies in UI development and creative/artistic design.

·         6+ year's hands-on experience with web frontend UI development and creative design within J2EE environments.

·         Expert knowledge of common web frontend technologies and/or packages such as HTML/XHTML, CSS, JavaScript/Ajax, Flash/Flex, and/or jQuery/Dojo/YUI.

·         Hands-on experience with web template languages (e.g. JSP, Velocity, and/or FreeMarker).

·         Good knowledge of common web frontend UI and creative design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, etc.

·         Good understanding and working experience of XML and related technologies (e.g. XSD, XSL).

·         Good knowledge of algorithms, design patterns, and componentization approaches.

·         Experience in cross-platform development such as UNIX/Windows and Oracle/MySQL and skillful in UNIX shell scripts and command line tools such as sed, awk, etc.

·         Working knowledge of J2EE application server configuration, setup, and management.

·         Working knowledge of automated build utilities and Continuous Integration solutions.

·         Well-presentable portfolios in the design and development of frontend UI components, applications, and solutions.

·         Consulting background a plus.
