Project Description: This project focuses on configuring BizTalk with the necessary business rules for creation of purchase order documents, creating a SharePoint form, creating a repository for these documents, bringing both the BidSync and Advantage commodity tables in sync with the latest community codes, and creating a connection between BizTalk and Info Advantage (reporting instance of Advantage) to validate and populate fields on the SharePoint form. 
 
Scope:
The primary goal is to develop a BizTalk process to interface with the two applications with the input from BidSync and the output to the Advantage system. This will include configuring the application, creating the business rules between the applications, interfacing with related databases, creating a form on a SharePoint site to input purchase order information that can successfully create purchase order documents in Advantage.  The second goal is to provide feedback (acceptance or rejection details) from Advantage back into the BidSync application.  
 
Background:
Clinet is looking for a technical resource, specializing in data integration, to implement a two system interface solution in accordance to the specifications outlined within this document. The purpose of this project is to enhance the Procurement Services department with the means to interface their Bid Sync eProcure (BidSync) application with the Advantage Financial Application (Advantage) utilizing the BizTalk application for integration. Implementation of this project will ensure that both vendors and contracts associated in BidSync are represented in Advantage. Currently there are duplicate and manual efforts to key in purchase order information within each of the BidSync and Advantage systems resulting in higher costs and potential errors. The foundation of this project is to streamline this process in an automated fashion utilizing an existing BizTalk server installation. 
 
This resource is expected to have strong technical background in BizTalk with specific emphasis in the following:
 
3.2.1 3+ years' experience with BizTalk orchestrations
3.2.2 Experience with SharePoint Forms development
3.2.3 Proficient in data integration including interfacing to/from multiple systems.
3.2.4 Applications programming competencies and systems analysis
3.2.5 Must be able to pass a background check
 
Measurable Deliverables:
2.2.1 Setup of the BizTalk application.
2.2.2 Define any required modifications to the BidSync application.
2.2.3 Setup business rules required for Advantage to include PO Types PG, PD, PC, and SC and source data requirements from Advantage to include PASM, Ship To, Bill To, Agency and Accounting Strings.  Business Rules for PO Types can be found in the accompanying document "Extended Purchasing User's Reference" from AMS Advantage 2000 (VAX).
2.2.4 Define and setup BizTalk communications between BidSync and Advantage.
2.2.5 Define and setup synchronization of commodity codes between BidSync and Advantage.
2.2.6 Define and create SharePoint form to capture purchase order data.
2.2.7 Create server connections between BizTalk and InfoAdvantage to populate accounting strings, vendor information, and contract information.
2.2.8 Define and create feedback mechanism from Advantage to BidSync for acceptance or rejection of purchase order data.
2.2.9 Define file definitions for data exchanges between BidSync and Advantage.
2.2.10      Technical resource to define the file layouts to be created in the BizTalk application.
2.2.11      Definition of roles and responsibilities for vendor, Procurement Services, and OET.
2.2.12      Knowledge transfer and training for OET resources for management of the BizTalk application
