Position: NetApp Admin
Location: Chicago,IL
Duration: Long term

Relevant Experience (Yrs) :

*    NAS Storage arrays: Netapp 6000 series , 3000 series , 2000 series. vFiler knowledge is must.
*    Fabric Switches:Brocade 48000, DCX switches
*    Disk Arrays:Hitachi Data Systems USPv ( Optional )
*    SAN Software's:    Operations Manager 4.x , Provisioning Manager , Netapp Oncommand System Manager, Netapp Management Console , Ontap 7.x and
      8.x.    
*    Backup Software's:Commvault backup software.

Other skills:

*    Knowledge on NFS and CIFS mounts at Unix and Windows end.

Experience Required:

*    Minimum 6 Years

Roles & Responsibilities:

L1/L2 Activities(Offshore):

1) Aggregate, Volume and Qtree management
2) Managing CIFS shares / NFS exports / mixed mounts
3) LUN creation, allocation and de allocation of LUNs and LUN Mapping
4) Configuring and troubleshooting Snapshot, snapmirror and dedupe
5) Manage and support NetApp filer Clusters
6) Managing and administering Operations Manger (DFM)
7) Maintain reports on disk utilization, availability and growth patterns
8) Knowledge on ITIL processes like Incident management, Problem Management and Change Management processes.

L3 Activities(Onsite):

All of above and the below skill sets.

1) Perform ONTAP / FIRMWARE UPGRADE
2) REPLICATION/DEDUPLICATION/INSTALLATION
3) PROTECTION SNAPMIRROR/ SNAPVAULT / SNAPRESTORE / NDMPCOPY
4) FLEXCLONE Management
5) Physical FILER Commission/Decommission - ( Optional )
6) VFILER Commission/Decommission
7) NetApp Filer Volume Migration - ( Optional )
8) Knowledge on FAS HARDWARE - FAS 2000 / 3000 / 6000 Series
9) Knowledge on Filer Hardware setup, controller Disk Shelf connectivity
10) Experience on Project Transition in new Team building.
11) Document RCA for incidents with product Engineering team.
12) Knowledge on ITIL processes like Incident management, Problem Management and Change Management processes.

In addition:

1) Good communication skills.
2) Knowledge on SAN and other storage subsystems preferably HDS.

*    Masters/Bachelors
