We are looking for User Experience Designer – Location – Herndon, Virginia – 6 - 12 Months Contract Position.

Required Skills & Experience:

·  Certified Usability Analyst (CUA), Master's in Human-Computer Interaction, Master’s in Design, Master’s in Cognitive Psychology, Computer Science or related field of equivalent experience.

·  Background in information architecture with experience in UI/web design & prototyping

·  2-3 years experience conducting user experience analysis.

·  Understands and applies user-centered design best practices and techniques

·  Proven ability to conduct user research and usability testing at customer’s location as well as remotely

·  Solid background in collecting and analyzing data and generating reports.

·  Experience in moderating test sessions.

·  Excellent oral & written communication skills; can present findings concisely and effectively to critical audiences.

·  Can work well in cross-functional teams, including engineers, product managers and visual designers

·  Should have strong experience in Client management in the role of User Experience

 

Job Responsibilities

·  Conducts user research by applying UCD techniques such as stakeholder questionnaire sessions, User Profiling, Personas, Scenarios, tasks and work flow modeling and translate them into top notch Information Architecture & Wireframes Design

·  Follows usability processes and techniques such as heuristic evaluations, cognitive walkthroughs and usability testing to Gauge the usability of new and existing software products, and make constructive suggestions for change

·  Work with design, development, and product team members to come up with UI concepts, storyboards and prototypes.
