Job Description
Someone who can take a vague requirement and turn into a solidly built running system. Someone who can solve really hard problems, bug fixing, performance improvement and code reviews. Strong java programmer analyst, Experience with CAS is a plus.
This position will be responsible for the following: web applications development, system integration, maintenance and support; participate in peer code reviews; and follow coding standards.
The ideal candidate will possess 6+ years of web application development experience using Java Enterprise Technology. The successful candidate will possess strong skills in Object-Oriented Design and have a solid understanding of n-tier web development architecture. Solid knowledge of Enterprise Java (JSP, Servlets, JMS, JDBC, JMX) and Web Technologies (AJAX, XML, CSS). Knowledge of all phases of application development lifecycle; experience with Application Servers and Web Servers (JBOSS & Apache) are preferred, and knowledge of RDBMS (Oracle Database).
Work experience with one or more java frameworks such as Spring, Struts or JSF & Hibernate and solid understanding of MVC Architecture, web services development (SOAP, RESTFUL and HTTP). Knowledge and experience in CAS is a plus. The ideal candidate will have experience or exposure to DAM, and knowledge of integrating 3rd party tools with core systems and databases is also a plus. Excellent communication skills and a demonstrated ability to take appropriate initiative are preferred.
BS in computer science, engineering or equivalent is required.
