BO Admin

Location: Columbus OH

Duration: 6 months+

C2c rate: Open

 

MUST HAVES:

·         Business Objects Administration experience on XI3

·         Business Objects Administration experience in a Linux/Unix environment

·         Experience with SAP, SharePoint, and LDAP integration a huge plus

·         Universe, Report, Dashboard development experience a huge plus

 

Description of Work:

·         Responsible for maintenance of Business Objects environments including installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, monitoring and backups.
Business Objects Admin/Architecture experience on XI3 is a must.

·         Provide Business Objects subject matter expertise.

·         Plan and perform environment consolidation/reduction/optimization.

·         Experience performing and maintaining integration with SAP, SharePoint, Identity Management, and other applications.

·         Provide 24x7 platform support. Complete service requests and problem cases.

·         Manage and track Business Objects and associated tool license usage, provide input for long range licensing plans and optimization.

·         Responsible for activities such as conceptual design, detail technical specifications and technical documentation. Partner with Enterprise Architecture and application teams to design Business Objects solutions.

·         Participates in the design, development, testing, implementation and documentation of the solution

·         Assists in estimating tasks and the preparation of project plans

·         Experience with installations and maintenance in a Linux/Unix environment.

·         Recommends methods for improved work processes, detailing the process's strengths and answering clients' questions to gain group consensus. Tracks internal trends and suggests process improvements based on observations.

·         Measures performance of the newly implemented solutions against desired results and recommends basic improvements; demonstrates a strong sense of ownership for outcomes. 

·         Questions current methods, while evaluating broad implications, to develop practical improvements. Focuses on achieving goals rather than a fear of failure. 

Skills: -

·         Business Objects Administration (Content and Server)

·         Business Objects Universe and report development

·         Business Objects deployments

·         Business Objects integration experience with LDAP, SAP, SharePoint etc.
