The Enterprise Architect will be responsible for the technical direction of platform(s) or set of applications within the  portfolio. The EA will provide consulting expertise, and leverage business and technical knowledge to support business strategies and deliver business value. This role will play an integral role in building and enhancing the infrastructure required to support the platform(s) or set of applications, in terms of robustness, scalability, availability and efficiency. The EA will work with Technical and Business teams to ensure development and support the business and IT strategic plan.

Tasks & Activities 
* Responsible for ensuring that the engineered environment meets the specifications in terms of business requirements, application design and infrastructure requirements - i.e. is accountable for the performance and efficiency of platforms. 
* Works with Technical and Business teams to ensure application development aligns to business and IT strategy. 
* Partners with the Technology & Infrastructure organizations in determining a practical adaptation of enterprise standards through informal feedback sessions. 

Requirements 
* Minimum 12-15 years experience required with: J2EE, Java/JDBC/JSP/XML, JavaScript, JBoss development tools, Webservice implementation/integration, OOAD, UML, On-line/Web application development and coordination/leadership of onshore/offshore development teams. 
* Experience with Agile/Scrum/XP development is preferred. 
* Must have architecture and design proficiencies, performed detailed design and deployed critical JAVA/J2EE applications. 
* Strong experience in Rich Internet Application development. 
* Technical experience with Portal, Web Content Management and platforms and software is highly preferred. 
* Sun Certified Java Programmer Certification preferred 
* Experience and proficiency in WEB 2.0 skills (AJAX, CSS, HTML etc.). 
* Experience working on a Unix family platform. Exposure to multiple platforms is a plus.
