Client is deploying an enterprise SharePoint 2010 portal - based on role based navigation and content delivery. The Consumer Products Division was deployed as part of the 2011 effort. Further deployments include the remaining Domestic units and International.
There are two work streams simultaneously underway: deployments and enhancements. The deployment track focuses on rolling out the planned role-based portal, with baseline (out-of-the-box) functionality satisfying core business functionality, security and navigation. Daily requirements of the technical position might include data migration, writing and debugging scripts, minor branding changes, testing and defect triage, working with a BA to conduct UAT, configuring drive mappings, executing the implementation plan, and performing final validation.
The enhancement track delivers mostly custom SharePoint features and functionality, workarounds, and defect triage. The team also works with the BA to review requirements, write technical specs and estimate effort.
Skills:
1. 1+ years of experience developing custom solutions for SharePoint 2010 with extensive MOSS 2007 experience.
2. Experience configuring and administering service applications such as Managed Metadata, User Profile Synchronization, and FAST Search
3. Experience with SharePoint web content management and branding features such as master pages, page layouts, CSS, and XSL
4. 3+ years of experience with web development technologies such as XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, XSL
5. Experience with version control systems (Team Foundation Server experience is preferred)
6. 3+ years of experience with Microsoft ASP.NET
