Data Warehouse Lead/PM - Job Description
Experience :
Total 9-12 years of experience with a minimum of 6-8 years Lead/managing Data warehouse and Business Intelligence Projects
Position Description:
Data Warehouse Lead/Manager
Responsibilities :
· Accountable for the overall planning, tracking, and execution of an Enterprise DW/BI program using an iterative, multi-phase approach
· Responsible for actively managing project communication, project risks, and team dynamics
· Ensure that the project complies with all SDLC processes such as Requirements Analysis, Design/Build, Quality Assurance, User Acceptance Testing, and Release management
· Work closely with internal and external project teams to support the estimation and delivery of reporting requirements, data architecture and design solutions
· Collaborate with Business and IT leadership teams to ensure that the delivered solution meets agreed upon requirements
Required Skills/Qualifications:
· Masters/Bachelor in Information Systems, Engineering, or other related degree; PMP certification is a plus
· Proven expertise in managing projects that are data centric; 8+ years of expertise in planning and rolling out Business Intelligence and data warehouse solutions for large corporations; Work experience with P&C Insurance/Reinsurance clients is highly preferred
· Strong working knowledge of all phases of DW/BI solution development such as Requirements Analysis, Architecture, Design, Development, Testing, Migrating, Administration, Security, and Production Support
· Demonstrated experience providing technical leadership to multi-disciplinary teams comprised of Business Analysts, Data architects, Data Movement, Quality Assurance, Business Intelligence designer/developers, and release management teams
· Experience with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, requirements management tools e.g Clearquest, ReqPro, document management, testing and configuration management
· Knowledge of Business Intelligence policies, standards, best practices and project methodology
· Familiarity with SAP Business Objects technologies , SQLServer is a plus
· Strong written and communication skills; Excellent problem solving skills
· Must be a self starter - proactive in seeking out new assignments and improving the existing system
· Ability to develop work plans and follow-through on assignments with minimal guidance
Other Skills (desired):
Consulting experience with a large multi-national companies is a plus
Work experience in the Insurance, Reinsurance Industry is highly preferred.

Work location: Windsor, CT
Travel to client location required.
