Job Description:
APPLICATION ARCHITECT - INFORMATICS candidate must have design and architecture experience with DATA WAREHOUSE, ETL and BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE and experience with LARGE DATABASES and a grasp of general Design Patterns and industry standard architectural principles related to data warehouse environments.
Practical knowledge of DataStage and Business Objects is a plus, but not required.
Conceptual knowledge of UML techniques and RSM tool is desired, but not required.
Candidate should demonstrate knowledge of data integration, data mapping, and data conformance conceptually.
Knowledge of key architectural principles surrounding data warehousing are required.
Experience architecting, developing, deploying and supporting large scale computing applications across multiple operating systems, languages, and vendor middleware is necessary. Proven project experience and ability to lead a group through an architectural development process and collaborate with application development teams, architects, Business and other project constituents. Ability to discover and define technical requirements and their relationship to functional requirements and to determine the adequacy of documented requirements for architecture definition. Healthcare or Insurance/Financial services industry knowledge is preferred, but not required. Medical Management experience is a plus. Strong business/technology decision making skills. Prior experience in a technical leadership role. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, Strong leadership skills to effectively influence decisions and positively impact progress
