UNIX ADMIN

Job Description :

·         Need a person urgently with UNIX skillsets and 4-6 (or more) years of experience. Primarily looking for a unix admin with proficiency in Linux. Experience in middleware like webobjects, Tomcat etc will be an added benefit.

·         Knowledge and experieince with Redhat Linux, and day-day operation and troubleshooting. RHCE Certification preferred.

·         Knowledge and experience with Solaris 8, 9 and 10.

·         Knowledge and experience with Unix tools: shell scripting, PERL, vi, awk

·         Application knowledge of any of the following: DB2connect, Qmail, Websphere, SiteMinder/e-Trust, Apache Web Server, MQSeries, Tivoli.

·         Excellent communication skills, self-motivated, work well with little or no supervision and ability to work with others in a cohesive team environment.

 

 

Teradata DBA
Location: Irving, TX
Duration: 6 Months

Roles & Responsibilities:

·          Providing DBA support for both Teradata system users & applications;

·         Support DDL migrations across environments as requested;

·         Monitoring performance and  managing parameters to provide fast query responses to 'front end' users;

·         Mapping out the 'conceptual design' for a planned database in outline;

·         Work w/developers and production support teams on various Teradata EDW issues;

·         Assist w/'logical design so that it can be translated into a specific data model;

·         Implement the physical design to meet system storage/performance requirements;

·         Participating in installing/test new versions of the database management system (DBMS) and TTU;

·         Maintaining data standards, including adherence to the Data Protection Act;

·         Writing database documentation (PCM/TSM), including data standards, procedures and documentation;

·         Define roles within database;

·         Strong working knowledge of Teradata Manager and/or Viewpoint; Provide tuning support/recommendations as needed;

           

 

EDW Architect
Location: Beaverton, OR
Duration: 6 Months

Job Description :
