JOB DESCRIPTION
Location: Ashburn, VA
Duration: 6 months
Must Have Skills*:
Mandatory
· 8+ years of experience in Performance Engineering and Performance Testing Area
· In-depth knowledge and working experience with Performance Center, Wiley, HP Site scope and other latest Performance Engineer & Performance Testing tools and Open Source performance testing tools ( Apache JMeter, WebLOAD etc) - Waterfall, Agile testing methodology experience.
· Tooling Certification much preferred
· Experience with Quality Center and other quality tools
· Making use of agile continuous integration testing model to span across modules
· Proven proficiency in leadership with superior analytical abilities and product judgment.
· Excellent technical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
· Qualified candidates having experience in defining projects, collecting requirements, writing detailed functional and test specifications
· Experience building and designing test cases,testing methodologies and tools
· Experience with project management methodologies and tools (ex. Agile)
· Excellent analytical skills
· Ability to build and lead a performance testing team for video and software technology areas
Preferable
· Effectively and proactively communicate on Test related tasks (Test plan, strategy, topologies, reports) and queries or questions raised by other groups.
· Proactively gather all the requirements related to all test deliverable.
· SQL Knowledge
· Experience working with Java Annotations
· Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior management to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy
· Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
· Experience with mission critical, 24x7 systems
Job Roles / Responsibilities*:
· Overall responsibility of Performance Testing Tasks for engaged projects - including estimation, planning, execution oversight.
· Manage, Train and Recruit (as needed) Performance Engineers and Performance Testers in the team
· Responsible for selecting/maintaining and integrating the appropriate set of tools, processes and procedures to ensure overall testing efficiency and effectiveness in the operations.
· Manages Test engineers and other test team members to ensure performance test scripts and test cases are developed according to the identified test scenarios and test objectives that are in line with the Service Level Agreements specified in the Non-Functional requirements document(s).
· Partner with Technical Project Management in the development of project plans, status communications, and the management of development software solutions.
· Monitor quality risks and escalate, as required.
· Provide regular status reporting consistent with established program governance requirements.
· Choose test tool(s)
· Specify test data needed and charter effort
· Develop proof-of-concept scripts for each application/component under test, using chosen test tools and strategies
· Develop detailed performance test project plan, including all dependencies and associated timelines
· Install and configure injectors/controller
· Analyze the results - either pass/fail, or investigation of critical path and recommendation of corrective action
