Role: Oracle PL/SQL With Upgrading Experience.
Location: NYC


We need some one who has upgrade Oracle 10g to Oracle 11g and familiar with Oracle 11g.

Responsibilities:

Demonstrate strengths in analysis, design and implementation of large projects at major
financial corporation(s), particularly in areas of Oracle PL/SQL, Unix and control-m
programming
Provide technology solutions that address business needs by developing applications within
technology environments
Knowledge of design patterns and best practices for high performance, scalable, extensible
applications
Contribute to the technical code documentation
Design, develop, and implement code
Implement fixes and enhancements
Create Test Plans, Test Cases and perform unit and integration testing
Support existing applications
Involved in full life cycle of project
Good Technical Writing skills
Excellent Communication and Interpersonal skills
Work on STAR Batch related changes using Pl/SQL and Unix.
Lead up STAR Database upgrade from Oracle 10g to Oracle 11g
Work on continues improvements to support on-going business

Require:
Oracle PL/SQL (definitely required) 8 years +
SQL Tuning 4 years +
Oracle Deployment/Upgrade scripts 4 years +
Development in Unix, Linux Env 4 years +
Control-m 2 years +
Finance Background 2 years +
SVN Version control 1 years +
Business Objects or OBIEE 1 years +

Ability to utilize programming methodologies and languages
Efficient coding i.e. adhering to coding standards, procedures and techniques
Effective analysis of new and existing applications and platforms
Clear communication and documentation of technical specifications
