Desc:  Sr. J2EE Developer- J2EE, Java/Java 2, Websphere, RUP, Websphere Portal

 

*Responsible for the detail design documentation, development, unit testing and maintenance of internally developed applications and externally purchased software products *Write code for system designs that span platforms *Code to and create Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) *Write code for enhancing existing programs or developing new programs *Write detailed technical specifications for subsystems and identify integration points *Estimate project timelines and resources required to complete programming projects *Perform unit testing and debugging and set test conditions based on code specifications *Supports application throughout the Product Development life cycle *Coordinate with areas for integration architecture solutions and determine the integration approach *Review vendor research and gap analysis, make vendor recommendation to technical team and client 

Job Requirements: 4 or more years of experience using IBM products such as IBM RAD, WebSphere Application Server(WAS 7.0) 4+ years of solid Programming experience using J2EE, Spring, Struts, JSP, JSF, MQ Series, XML , DOM, XSLT, XPATH, JAXB, and Ajax. Good experience in Webspehere Portal technologies *Experience applying J2EE patterns and Frameworks to application solutions *Knowledge of System Development Life Cycle, product development methodologies, database methodologies and system integration *Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems *Knowledge of coding design and documentation protocol as well as unit testing, change management and release procedures *Experience using SQL or similar query language *Experience using versioning tools  IBM Rational products *Verbal and written communication and documentation skill Business Specific Criteria (preferred skills): *Healthcare Industry knowledge *Experience with RUP methodology and rational tools *Experience in IBM WebSphere Portal and object oriented technologies *Demonstrated experience programming using java and J2EE *Knowledge of System Development Life Cycle, product development methodologies, database methodologies and system integration *Experienced applying J2EE security, Concurrency, Transactions, Session Management, J2EE Patterns, and Frameworks to application solutions
