* Experience with software version management tools like subversion, clearcase, cvs.
* Experience with high transaction volume, multi-threaded systems.
Desired skills:
* Coherence preferable.
* Experience with Visual C++, COM, excel addins a plus.
* Experience with database concepts and development techniques.
* Sybase experience a plus.
* Unix experience a plus
* Familiarity with Maven.
* Experience with Eclipse.
* Familiarity with automated build and deploy tools, like CruiseControl
Job Description:
Derivatives IT provides development and support of front, middle and back office applications used by the global OTC derivatives business for interest rate, credit and equity derivatives, options and fund linked products.
Derivatives IT is in the process of a radical redesign of its IT systems and architecture to meet the challenges of a major increase in trading volumes.
The role is for a senior Java developer to work on the GemFire MDS team.
It will involve working with distributed cache technologies (GemFire, Coherence), Windows, Linux and business critical market data systems.
Contribute to the conversion of GemFire MDS to Coherence.
-Develop and enhance the GemFire MDS data server components using Java, JMX, Windows and Linux.
-Develop and enhance GemFire MDS client components using Java under Windows and Linux.
-Participate in developing strategies for the continuous improvement of cached MDS server environment.
-Participate in the ongoing support and maintenance of cached MDS servers and clients.
- Design and architect software components.
- Gain knowledge and contribute to Windows client development.
