Job Description:	Job Title Middleware Administrator Duration Min. 14 months - extendable by a year based on performance LOCATION: Cambridge, USA JOB PURPOSE Middleware administrator to support web servers, application servers and tools in production, test and development environments. Job role would include middleware administration, maintenance & ongoing day-to-day operations support including installation, configuration, upgrade, migration, patching, troubleshooting, performance tuning, backup and recovery. This position is based in Cambridge Corporate working along with global middleware team. MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES The ideal candidate must have experience in middleware components - IIS, Tomcat, JBOSS & Apache: . Installation and configuration . Administration . Deploying applications . Patching . Upgrade and migration . Backup and restore . Monitoring, performance analysis and fine tuning . Installing SSL certificates . Working knowledge of ESB . Understanding of and experience in troubleshooting: .NET framework (C#, ASP.Net, Windows Services, Webservices) . Organise / perform support and trouble shooting of application/system level issues . Design and implementation of enterprise middleware solutions and technologies . Understand and document existing middleware environment's architecture . Basic working knowledge of Linux & Windows 2000/2003/2008 Operating Systems . Unix shell/Perl scripting . Working collaboratively in a team environment . Working in cross-functional project teams Desirable experience in: . Working knowledge of Oracle 10g/11g . Working knowledge of EMC Documentum. . Working knowledge of MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server . Active Directory, Kerberos . SOAP, Web Services, & SOA . Oracle Security Middleware (OIM, AM, DS, OVD, OID, FS, LS, OES) . Working knowledge of any Load Balancer EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE Minimum education/experience: . Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline, computer science, engineering or mathematics . At least 6 years experience in middleware administration . At least 2 additional years experience in database programming, IT Operations, or application development
