Looking for Sr Java Developer for direct client.

Location: Ann Arbor , MI
Duration: Long term project.
Primary duties include:
• Design solutions and develop well-structured, performant, and semantically correct code that meets Client coding conventions.
• Develop and maintain code utilizing Java, XML, XSL, XHTML and JavaScript.
• Develop unit and functional tests for all code written
• Collaborate with interface developers on web solutions using JSP.
• Collaborate with QA to diagnose and fix software defects.
• Discover and develop opportunities for code reuse.
• Perform code reviews of Software Developers and make suggestions for improvement where appropriate.
• Develop and maintain documentation regarding coding practices and design.
• Provide accurate time estimates for assigned work.
• Provide guidance to developers to ensure team is following code conventions.
Required Qualifications:
• 8 years of experience developing software systems with broad coverage of the software development life-cycle
• 4 years of experience as a developer in an Object Oriented environment
• 4 years of programming web applications with Java, specifically with servlets and JSP
• 1 year of experience with authoring XSL transformations
• Knowledge of RDBMS concepts, including JDBC
• Experience with Agile software development methods such as Scrum
• Experience designing multi-level architectures
• Experience with source control systems such as Git, Subversion, CVS
• Ability to work in a lead capacity and able to take initiative with projects and act independently as needed
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize work load and meet multiple project deadlines
• Proven track record of on time/on budget delivery
• Must be detail oriented and demonstrate a strong customer service focus
• Advanced problem solving skills and the ability to work with innovative solutions
