FW: New ETL QA Position

Good Morning,

We have been working on a new ETL QA position that I wanted to make you aware of.  I've included details below on the company, position, hiring process, and selling points.  Please let me know if you have any available candidates that may be a fit for this position.  I can also answer any specific questions.

 

 

Specifics

Location: Westminster, CO (Just north of Denver)

Duration of Project: 7 months with extensions
Rate Range: $50/hr

 

Notes:

This position will require a onsite interview, so local candidates are preferred.  The manager will interview out of state candidates, but they will need to do a in-person interview.  To help with this we will be willing to reimburse the flight costs of someone only if they end up getting and accepting the offer.

 

- We have two people working on this team and work directly with the hiring manager

- A majority of consultants get extended over a year

- Things that have separated candidates in the past include: White box testing, DataStage experience

 

Description

Mid-Sr. level Data Warehouse QA Analyst

A candidate for an Data Warehouse QA Analyst position should have the following experiences and capabilities

High Priority
* Experience with database table creation and testing, in both OLTP and OLAP environments
* Experience with database Data Transformation including analysis of database creation and population scripts
* Capability to script automated scripts (in SQL, PL/SQL) for database verification and report / source comparisons
* Testing Trigger*s and Stored Procedures
* White Box Testing Is A Must
* Data Transformation and Data Lookup Skills
* Capability to do database source / target comparisons and validations
* Experience with database design concepts, as well as familiarity with entity relationship diagrams (ERD's)
* Testing of reports generated from database sources
* Ability to create test cases from business requirements, including validation of business rules
* Must have experience with Quality Center

Medium Priority
* Software testing experience, including creation of test plans and test cases
* Experience in creating, revising, and maintaining test documentation
* Experience data profiling tables and data source systems

Familiar Technologies
A candidate for an Data Warehouse QA Analyst position should be able to have a moderate to strong proficiency in the following technologies / applications:
* Oracle 9i, 10g
* Quest Toad for Oracle
* Mercury Quality Center
* Microsoft Excel
* Data warehouse experience
