For ICP Planning we require candidates with a broad business side background. Technical (Systems) experience is an extra plus but not something that we really require nor do we need to focus on.
Job Title: Business Analyst
Location: Bloomington, IL
Duration: 12+ Months Contract
Deployment Role:
Strategic Business Planning / CDE Non Systems Business Support
Task Description:
The ideal candidate has the following credentials:
Strategic thinker who is also sensitive to the tactical implementation
Strong analytical orientation and data driven approach to work
Excellent communication and facilitation skills and an ability to influence business partners
Ability to break down large scale business problems
An aptitude for synthesizing large amounts of data, building data driven analysis and presenting findings to leadership
Desired experience:
Strong project management and planning skills
Broad business side background
Deep knowledge of business principles
Demonstrated proficiency with PowerPoint and Excel
Positive attitude and strong motivation
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Comfort with presenting to all levels of management
Ability to work independently, assume additional responsibilities/tasks on short notice, and be a self-starter
Understanding the business of insurance/financial services
Ability to work in a fast paced environment
Ideally has both software/solution engineering and business background
Responsibilities:
Owns the analysis and research efforts for ICP work components including scope, customer impacts, dependencies across LOBs, cross-DC integration, etc.
Drive and facilitate key discussions with respective business areas and leads to navigate discovery of scope and assess/architect resolution options
Leverages the internal ICP Planning analysts, where appropriate, to address State Farm business/organizational direction
Working with internal State Farm resources, prepares comprehensive synthesis of all research findings, which may include strategic recommendations, BDDs and BDSs to present to ICP Planning Extended Core Team
Identifies and directs integration points with other in-flight work within ICP, Global, or respective DCs/LOBs
