Senior Web UI Developer

· This will be an initial 6 month contract but has the strong potential for extension based on project needs and candidate's abilities.
· UI Developer will focus on the Recommendation Engine integration initiative for all hotel brand websites. Working with a third party vendor for the creation of a Recommendation Engine which needs to be integrated into the UI of all brand sites ( includes all hotel eCommerce sites in all languages). The Recommendation Engine will seek to drive promotional placements to external customers and guests by automatically analyzing user behavior data and thus targeting specific promotions to specific customers. Modifications will need to be made to the UI layer of all sites in order to successfully integrate this new feature.
· Responsibilities include consuming wire frames, comps and style guides to develop complex web based user interfaces utilizing HTML 5, CSS and Javascript. (These technologies are MUST HAVES). This position will demand heavy interaction with Java developers and well as business stakeholders.
· Candidate must have at least 8+ years experience developing large scale web user interfaces. Works within a highly collaborative Scrum team to rapidly release product increments. Must command superior communication skills and the ability to articulate technical details to non-technical business colleagues. As this is a Senior level position, candidate must have some experience with UI architecture and the ability to take ownership of projects without being micro-managed.
Required Skills:
· 8+ Years HTML, CSS, JavaScript
· 5+ Years JQuery or similar JavaScript framework
· Portfolio of websites/UI work is preferred
· Experience working with CMS tools is highly preferred (ideally Adobe CQ5, formerly known as Day; however, any
· CMS tool experience is good)
· Ability to work in a highly fluid and flexible environment under a SCRUM/Agile methodology
· Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
