Job Description:–

·      5-7 years functional experience with webserver/application servers such as Apache/tomcat.

·     Install and configure Application Server and HTTP Server

·     Good hands on experience in Installation , Configuration, Optimization & Support of MQ v5.3, v6.0, v7.0.

     Daily Duties:

·      Work on MQ architecture by setting up standards and procedures according to the requirements.

·      Work on capacity planning andsetnaming standards for MQ objects for better identification.

·      Install MQ7, WMB 6.1 on Linux, Windows, Solaris, Z/OS and AIX servers also migrating to WMB 7.

·      Define MQ objects by writing shell scripts which greatly reduced complex tasks.

·      Work closely with the application teams in designing new environments and deploying them in DEV,

·      QA and PROD and gained valuable advice.

·      Setup Broker and designed a friendly pub/sub.

·      Setup Tivoli Omegamon monitoring tool for monitoring MQ and Broker servers.

·      Setup remote administration for all the queue managers.

·      Setup JMS applications by defining the bindings file using the MQ JMS admin tool.

·      Setting up the organized SSL on the channels.

·      Setup MQ clusters for high availability and load balancing the messages.

·      Create subscriptions, topics etc. in the Broker pub/sub.

·      Setup the trigger's and channel initiators which greatly increased productivity.

·      Evaluating and configuring 3rd party software for monitoring MQ Series.

·      Tuning WebSphere MQ as needed for better performance.

·      Setup security using the Object Authority Manager.

·      Configuring new Brokers by setting up the databases and ODBC connections.

·      Setup HACMP and MSCS for MQ and Broker servers for high availability.

·      Work with IBM support and resolved many critical issues.

·      Workwith theDevelopment team in testing the connection and functionality.

·      Develop and document all the processes for the migration.

·      Installing the latest patches for MQ and WMB from IBM.

·      Providing 24/7 support for the MQ and WMB issues.
