JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Pega Systems Specialist shall have the following functional responsibilities:
• Complete the implementation of the generic core capabilities developed
as part of the Pega Pilot
• Configure and implement Pega Systems COTS tool to meet the
requirements of the 17 value streams in order to complete the WBS
projects
• Support the development of custom capabilities that integrate with the
Pega Systems COTS tool
• Support the integration of the WBS project with UCD and TRM projects.
• Provide test support for all system releases
• Provide deployment support for all system releases
• Develop and maintain an understanding of the customer's business needs
• Work closely with stakeholders to ensure that deliverables
effectively address the needs of the TMNG project
• Prepare releases every 3 months that demonstrate completion of
milestones associated with user-identifiable progress as per the backlog.
• Create documentation as required to comply with standards
• Demonstrate key features to stakeholders and potential users and
document their feedback, including both formal presentations of sprint-
based deliverables at the end of each sprint and informal presentations
during the development process as needed to solicit feedback from
stakeholders
• Report, document, and assist in tracking and documenting bugs, defects,
and issues
• Maintain, test, integrate, and support the project software solution
throughout the development and release cycle
• Work effectively with other members of the implementation team as well
as internal teams that support implementation and operations
• Participate in daily scrum meetings
• Participate in code reviews
• Provide post deployment support, including fixing any deficiencies
identified post implementation.
• Provide change management support by following mandated
change management guidelines, and developing and documenting the
build and installation procedures for each release
The Pega Systems Specialist shall have the following experience and technical
skills:
• Certification in Pega Systems COTS tools
• Seven (7)+ years experience in Object oriented software design and
development with seven (7)+ years experience in Java
• Five (5)+ years of experience in usage, design, development and
deployment of SOAP or REST based web services Junior/Mid Level Pega Systems Specialist
• Five (5)+ years experience in Oracle Database, SQL programming for
middleware and backend, database driven application
• Three (3)+ years developing applications and application-modules within
service-oriented architectures
• Three (3) + combined years developing workflow and case management
tools such as Pega Systems (BPM, Case Management), Appian and
JBoss JBPM
• Two (2)+ years experience working in a scrum-based agile development
environment, including teams that require programmers to frequently work
on each others' code
• Two (2)+ years experience programming with Hibernate or similar ORM
(iBatis, Toplink, JPA)
• Experience with XML and XML parsing technologies
• Experience in content management systems such as Documentum or
Alfresco.
• Experience in Remedy is a plus.
